FreeTheScene.net [Ratio Free Tracker] Open for Sign ups.

FreeTheScene.net is the world’s largest ratio free private tracker. They offer 0day with general category torrents. The tracker uses the Gazelle source code with the modified XBT tracker as it’s basis which is very fast. You can take a look at this picture below as to what one of the several “templates” look like. If you register, you can go to your UserCP and change it to your preference.

At the time of this article, there are 7 different kinds, including a feature to use a external template.

This tracker is getting a lot of well worth hype since there are some private packages being uploaded. At the time of this article, there were about 100 private packages. Here are the member stats:

Since FreeTheScene is a ratio-free tracker, there are less rules to seeding/leeching. But there is one golden rule, you must leave the torrent seeded for a minimum of 72 hours. Even though the download is not counted (or displayed), the upload is displayed. There is no such thing as a global ratio.

The only way to join FTS is to enter their irc channel/server (listed below). You must type in !ftsi for invite instructions. The instructions are to display a picture of your ratio on other private trackers, thus this invite is not for everyone, only for people that have previous private tracker experience, and a superior Download-Upload ratio on that private server.

You are wondering how long will this “open” signups last? Well according to an irc conversation I had, it will last till they are “satisfied” with the amount of new invites.
