Rutorrent 3.4 Review

The new rutorrent 3.4 has many new features.

Added support for new rTorrent versions (0.9.0)
Added plugins screenshots, rutracker_check, history, extratio, check_port and task.
Possibility to control of plugins loading is added.
Possibility to second sort of UI tabales is added (shift+LMB on the header of the corresponding column).
The kind of some the interface elements is changed.
Fixed a lot of bugs.
The code of the majority of plugins is changed.

Let’s look over the list of improvements, the big one being a new version of rtorrent. As stated, the included support for rtorrent 0.9.0 which is bit early since it does not have a stable release yet. Of the new plugins that are supported the screenshot plugin is a nice addon, but requires that you install ffmpeg. It does a good job of taking a screenshot. Several bugs have been fixed (which rutorrent 3.3 had a few off).

Once again, the rutorrent did a fantastic job of implementing the new version for the upcoming rtorrent 0.9.0 (stable). We would recommend that you upgrade from rutorrent 3.3 to rutorrent 3.4.
